To distract myself from the stress of compiling applications (and then sitting on pins and needles waiting), I've been taking lots of pretty pictures, per usual...

Yes, thanks to Mr. T's quick ordering skills, we are now iPhone 5 users. It's quite a departure from Android territory, but I'm getting used to it!
In my continued campaign for it to actually be Fall, I made a divine batch of wild mushroom soup. It's still forecasted to be nearly 100 degrees in Sacramento this week. Arrrggghhhh.

After a couple disaster attempts, I finally got this recipe right. I cooked it for an additional two hours though. Next time, I'll add more spice and include mushrooms during the cooking (instead of sauteing afterwards).

Thank you, Marm, for the lovely color job. And thank you, new iPhone 5 app, for the flattering filter for my self-portrait.

So curious to see how you like the iPhone as compared to your Android. I'm thinking of making the switch myself, but not sure if I'd like it better... seems to be good things about each one. What is your initial impression? What Android phone did you have?
ReplyDeleteDespite feeling like a traitor, I like the iPhone quite a bit. The 5 is SUPER fast and now that I'm getting the hang of it, I think I like it better than the Incredible I had previously. It took me a couple days not to be frustrated with it since some of the buttons and organizational conventions are MUCH different than Android. But it's becoming more intuitive the more the use it. The only consistent gripe for me is the keyboard for texting. There are some shortcuts, but unlike the Android, I haven't figured out a way to capitalize/use numerals without switching screens. (On my Incredible, I could just hold down a letter and it would change size, etc.) My two favorite things are the camera (with a TON of cool apps) and Siri. :)
