Unless you've seen the last season of Weeds, you probably don't realize why I giggled typing the title of this post. Because in my head it came out like "cats, cats, cats"... or with a Russian accent, "kets, kets, kets." Do you get it? Do you watch* Weeds?
All of that has just about nothing to do this today's photo of cans though. In the spirit of Project Pantry Waste Not, Want Not (see also here and here for more info), I decided to use of some of the lingering cans of tomato products in the cupboard. What better way than with my "Best in the west" (really) spaghetti sauce? See here for the recipe and maybe your house can smell as good as mine does right now. (Seriously, good enough to eat. It's taking all of my willpower not to linger over the stove stealing sausage bits from the pot.)

Most of these are tomato sauce with a few tomato pastes, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes thrown in for good measure. And black olives, of course. |
