That elusive quality of nature

I learned that quote my freshman year of college in Chris Blake's Honors Composition class. Part of his genius pedagogy was to have us memorize important phrases, famous quotes, and Bible verses for exams. Some, like this one, have stuck in my brain for 15 years. And as I looked through my May calendar today, I couldn't help but think that time is not doing it's job lately.

BlogHer's NaBloPoMo May 2015 prompt for May 7- My time

Between classes, writing projects, family events, holiday days, and work, time definitely feels crowded, like my carrot forest above. I'm hoping the summer months look more like the strawberries--bursts of busy with big empty spaces in between. 

One can dream, right?
