Happy Christmas dear ones!

You can formally blame Mr. T for the astounding
number of close-ups you're about to see. Mr. Man got
me the macro lens I've been coveting for years!
With Christmas waffles still digesting and a second load of dishes washing, I'm struck by what a damn fine Christmas it has been around these parts. A little dreary in the weather department, but a time full of love, family and friends, outrageously good eats, jingle bell dog torture* and so much joy. I feel utterly blessed and so very lucky.

* Don't worry. No Goliaths were physically harmed during the making of this Christmas merriment. He may or may not harbor ill will towards me and my collar-n-paws jingle bells though.

P/S Given recent violence and loss, I feel a bit chagrined at my enjoyment this week. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are grieving and living through a bittersweet holiday season.
